About Wendie Beddingfield
Wendie R. Beddingfield is a California family law attorney and the founder of Beddingfield Law, P.C. Her practice is dedicated to helping self‑represented litigants navigate the family court system with clarity, confidence, and compassion. Clients value her as an empathetic listener, proactive problem‑solver, and persuasive communicator who gives voice to their concerns in some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
Although a native Texan, Wendie discovered her calling for family law after her family of six moved to California in 2013. While serving as a women’s ministry coordinator at her local church, she walked alongside women who felt lost in the maze of the family courts. That experience led her to pursue a legal career focused on helping individuals and families through informed, practical representation and coaching.
Wendie completed her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with distinction at the University of California, Berkeley in 2020, and earned her J.D., cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2023.
During law school, Wendie was named to the Dean’s List each year and received the Dean’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award. She is a member of the Order of the Coif and received the Witkin Award in Constitutional Law and the CALI Award in Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing. She served as co‑president of the Federalist Society and as a board member of the Family Law Society.
Wendie gained broad experience in family law as a judicial intern with the Honorable James E. Towery (Ret.) in Santa Clara County, as a bar‑certified student attorney with All for the Family Legal Clinic in Castro Valley, and as a post‑bar clerk to the family law bench in San Mateo County. She has also volunteered in family law and domestic violence clinics through Elevate Community Center and at the family law day of court with Legal Access Alameda. Wendie has also worked as a contract family law attorney with Munayco Law Firm, P.C. in the Bay Area, helping family law clients navigate their cases in the California courts.
In her spare time, Wendie enjoys exploring different parts of California and the U.S., hiking, coffee with friends, succulent gardening, and jigsaw puzzles. She especially loves spending time with her husband, Gabriel, and their adult children.
